How we hire
Every tutor on the bench cleared four gates.
Native speaker, full stop
Born and raised in a country where English is the first language. Passport plus a recorded conversation interview before anything else.
Credentialled
CELTA, TESOL or DELTA — verified against the issuing body. We do not accept short weekend certifications.
Three years of online teaching
Two years of face-to-face does not transfer cleanly. We want tutors who already know how to hold a camera, manage Zoom breakouts and read a learner over video.
A demo with a real learner
Final stage: a paid demo lesson with one of our existing learners. They give the thumbs-up — or we do not hire.
