Twelve-week syllabus

Four modules. Each one finishes with a real deliverable.

Module 1 · Meetings & calls

Chairing, interrupting politely, summarising, taking minutes. Capstone: chair a 20-minute mock meeting with two tutor-played stakeholders.

Module 2 · Email & written correspondence

Direct vs indirect tone, hedging, escalation language, executive summaries. Capstone: rewrite three of your own real emails with tutor feedback.

Module 3 · Negotiation

Anchoring, conditional language, walking away politely, cross-cultural pitfalls. Capstone: a 30-minute negotiation role-play with full debrief and recording.

Module 4 · Presentations & Q&A

Opening, signposting, storytelling for executives, handling hostile questions. Capstone: a fifteen-minute live presentation to your tutor plus a guest panellist.

Industry case work

Lessons are built from your own work, not generic textbooks.

We ask you to bring three real artefacts to week one — an email thread, a slide deck and a meeting recording (anonymised). The course is built around the patterns we hear in them.

Tutors with backgrounds in finance, FMCG, professional services and engineering are matched against your industry. By week six your lessons are operating on your own vocabulary.

Outcomes our learners report

What twelve weeks here actually changes.

You will chair meetings

Stop relying on a senior colleague to translate decisions. You can run a multi-stakeholder call in English, in confidence, by week five.

Emails sound like you

Not formal-stilted templates pulled from the internet — a tone that reads as senior, warm and decisive in English.

You hold ground in negotiation

Specific phrases for anchoring, conceding, walking away politely. Recorded role-plays with your tutor until they feel automatic.

Questions

What people ask first.

What level should I be before joining?

Comfortable B1 and above (intermediate). If you score below that on the diagnostic, we will recommend the One-to-One programme first and rejoin Business English afterwards.

Is it HRDF-claimable?

We are not an HRDF-registered provider, but several of our corporate clients have successfully claimed the course as a self-paced training expense. We issue full tax-friendly receipts to support this.

Can I do it in the evening?

Yes — most learners on this track take 19:00 or 20:00 MYT slots with our UK-based tutors, who are starting their working day.

Do you sign NDAs for the case work?

Always, if you ask. We can also accept anonymised artefacts only — your call.
